I heard this song for the first time today. Kirk Franklin’s “My World Needs You” speaks to my heart and mind during this season when the government is encroaching on our freedoms in the name of the common good. Covid-19 is a disease whose name has inspired great fear and the general populace has bowed to the will of the government and the influence of the media.
I could give you data, numbers and percentages that would prove the sad state of our nation and the delusion that has blinded so many, but what puts me on my knees is the knowledge that my world needs God so much more now than it has in recent years. My world and your’s needs to see the face of a Fearless God, a Compassionate Jesus, and an ALWAYS WITH YOU Spirit so much more than a face mask, a weak government, or an agenda-ridden media!
Who is our protector?
Who IS our savior, church?
Who is our source of wisdom?
Is our protector the mask? NO.
Is our savior the government? NO.
Is our source of wisdom the media? NO.
Our Savior is Jesus! Our Protector is GOD! Our Wisdom is the Spirit of the Living God!
Either we believe the Word or we don’t. Either we walk what we speak or don’t. Either we practice what we preach or we don’t.
